Birds
Costa Rica is home to an amazing number of bird species, with over 900 species recorded. Many of these species are residents, meaning they live in Costa Rica year-round, while others are migratory birds that travel to the region. I was delighted to see a couple of these migratory birds in my home area of California, including the American Dipper and Acorn Woodpecker (see their photos in the “All other Birds” folder).
